THE MOST ENCHANTING COLOUR
With the range of colours in this world, it would seem impossible to choose. The best I can do is choose a shade, and green would surely be my choice.

The mention of the colour sets of a reeling journey of its depths and contours. Light and dark, plain and exotic, a range of shades that leave you wondering. Of course, there's emerald, olive, pine, jade, and all their shimmering or drab variations. To put in perspective its fairytale-like charm, there are also variations called chartreuse, myrtle, asparagus, feldgrau, celadon, aquamarine, harlequin- among others.

Nature, too, seems to be dressed in this hue. Isn't green associated with Spring, and life, and beauty? And why else would you have things called pear green, pine green, sea green, tea green, forest green, lime green... the diversity and wonder that this single name can capture is unimaginable. But believable, nevertheless, as a glance around the countryside would tell you.

And then, aren't green clothes simply mesmerizing? The most defining and fetching fashions seem always to me to be green.... think of the darkest green gowns, flouncing bonnets, elaborate scarves.... isn't green the only colour to be thought of?

And then, the colour spells magic. Don't witches' cats always have gleaming green eyes? And isn't it the most bewitching colour of the eyes? Why stop at eyes- green fingers, a rub of the green, green lights- all of them are infinitely desirable.

The world may be a palette of colours, and no single colour can compose it, true. But the one that gives it beauty, and makes it so mesmerizing, the one that catches the eye while others back away into submissive obedience, the one that fills in the gaps in dark places, the one that goes with all others and yet stands out... surely, it would be
green.

    Hi Clezevra,

What a lovely post. I am always constantly amazed by the variety of greens in nature. It is also one of the most restful colours to live with in the home. I love it.

You asked about the Reflective Blogger Award. I don't know where or when it started, but it has been around for quite a while. The idea is that if nominated for the award, the blogger then nominates six of his/her favourite blogs that have been an inspiration to them in some way.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

Green resembles "life", in my opinion. It's a color that soothes and rejuvinates the soul. This post explained it beautifully!
