DEMISE |
Just something I wrote...
Shimmering shadows swirled and lapsed into pools of light. Gossamer threads paved the way as a spider experimented with designs. Abstract figures hovered around concrete shapes. A myriad objects clustered around him, beckoning with secret messages. Lines aligned themselves to speak in metaphors. Beauty struggled with reason. He knew then that the universe could not be contained by glances alone, fleeting glimpses that petered out of memory all too soon.
And so science combined with art. Negatives formed the backdrop for his imagination to run free. Chemicals fused together to transform blankness into shades of light in that dark room. Shadows changed, the true nature of objects tweaked, ever so slightly. And people turned into entities he didn’t always recognize.
But then, art is eternal, science not so. And one day it decided to go for a stroll leaving art behind, and never returned. It was binary codes now which stored pictures- a barren, dry way that seemed all too lifeless. And since markets ran on demand, Kodachrome was made to gracefully retire. And so the photographer in him died. |

If knowing oneself is really proof of not knowing oneself this part of the profile is so pointless...
